Our Volunteers
Brooke
"I'm a senior at the University of Southern California, majoring in neuroscience and minoring in natural sciences with a plan to apply to veterinary school next summer. I'm working at the clinic because the staff is amazing and I love helping animals and learning as much as I can about veterinary medicine. I am the proud mother of 3 beautiful and intelligent pugs; Isabella, Mossimo and Dante, as well as an extremely handsome Egyptia Mau cat named Maui."
Ian
"I go to Pierce College out in San Fernando Valley. As of now I'm majoring in Pre-Veterinary Science and have been attending Pierce College for what will be a year after this semester is complete. I'm volunteering at Hancock Park because there is only so much you can learn from books. The other half you discover from working in the field with others and your furry teachers. When I think if a career I imagine something you can wake up to knowing you're making a difference in your own little way. For me, that's working with animals."
Diana
"I'm a student at UCLA majoring in Bioengineering and a minoring in Spanish. I'm volunteering at Hancock Park Vet Clinic because they give me an opportunity to learn a lot about what these animals and their owners need. I was never able to own a pet of my own so Hancock Park also gives me the chance to interact with these pets as well. I plan to go to veterinary school in the future in hopes to one day treat these pets myself."

Cindy
I'm currently a 4th year at UCLA, majoring in Microbiology, Immunology,
and Molecular Genetics (MIMG) and minoring in Environmental Systems and
Society. I am pre-vet and planning to apply to school this summer. I am
volunteering at the clinic because of the great staff and the
satisfaction of making a difference in animals' lives.

Jason
As of summer 2010 I am a rising 3rd year attending Occidental College,
majoring in Biology while contemplating a minor in Music. I'm unsure of
what I want to do career-wise, but working with animals is something I
can see myself doing for the rest of my life. The people at HPVC were
kind enough to accept me as a volunteer, even though I haven't had pets
of my own or have had any animal experience. Through my beginners mistakes, I am volunteering to expose myself to veterinary medicine and
learn as much as I can.
